I Feel the Rush
If you could live my life for just one day, you would experience the amazing rush I feel when someone says, "I'm on my way...I'm successful based on what you said." I believe we are all just one person and one skill away from total success, so hearing that I was someone's link is a great feeling!
Profitable, Rewarding & Enriched
I love sharing, learning and interacting with people. That's why I chose a profession that places me in contact with knowledgeable people who are eager to learn, grow and succeed. Through training programs in team building and self motivation I focus on sharing thoughts, insights and ideas that will help you find solutions, whether you are looking to make your business more profitable, your job more rewarding, or your life more enriched.
People Person
Part of my talent comes from my father, a natural-born storyteller. The rest of it comes from an entrepreneurial spirit, a professional sales background, a talent for leadership and a love for people. I chose the path of an entrepreneur at the age of 27, after working as a sales professional for McGraw Hill, Moore Business Forms and Schaefer Brewing Company. Working in the boroughs of New York City enhanced my appreciation for diverse opinions, ideas and cultures. Sales also developed the "people-person" in me, elevating my skills for listening to people, which is key to finding out what they really want and need.
My Entré
My first entrepreneurial venture was in business forms. The experience expanded my knowledge of business processes and opened the door for conducting professional seminars on entrepreneurship. My volunteer activities and leadership roles in community, professional and church ministries prompted my entré into the world of professional speaking.
Once I started, I realized it was the perfect fit for me, combining the best of my personal and professional skills. Since then, I've been "on the mic": speaking, training, learning and sharing with small businesses, mid-sized companies and Fortune 500 Corporations. Oh, did I mention I was the author of the "Put Your Money Where Your Mind Is" Series of workshops. These workshops provide a thought-provoking and rewarding experience that encourages audiences to pursue common goals with new insight, awareness and purpose.
I'm a graduate of the Executive Program of Strategic Management from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College of which I'm also a former Board of Trustees member. I've been an active board member of United Way Services of Ohio and The Black Professionals Association.
My firm, " Rich Speaks Now," works with companies, organizations and government agencies such as: The Coca-Cola Company, NCR, Concord Renaissance Hotel, Atlanta Housing Authority, Peachtree and Pine Homeless Center Project, Cascade United Methodist Church/ Atlanta Tech Collaborative Program, Fellowship Senior Day Care, Georgia Department of Labor, Baldwin County DFAC Services, Center for Disease Control & Prevention, Blacks In Government, Georgia Governor's Mentor Protégé Program, Georgia Public Health Association, Georgia Department of Human Resources, Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia Merit System, The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, Clark Atlanta Universities.
